Singapore Citizens can now use their original identification documents to redeem their digital SRV at 34 locations across Singapore.

Singapore, 30 August 2021 – Singapore citizens can now use their original identification documents (NRIC, National Service identification document or Singapore passport) as proof of identity to redeem their digital SingapoRediscovers Vouchers (SRV) and book their experiences, at 34 Community Clubs/Centres (CCs) and Residents’ Committees (RC) Centres across Singapore. For the full list of locations, please refer to Annex A.

This new method complements the existing Singpass verification process, and makes it easier for citizens who are unable to access their Singpass. Singapore Tourism Board (STB) had earlier reviewed the redemption process together with our five SRV authorised booking partners[1], after receiving feedback from citizens on how to improve the scheme.

Citizens can use their identification documents to digitally redeem their SRV and book the experiences they want in three simple steps:

1. Bring their own original identification document to one of the 34 locations and seek assistance from an authorised SRV Ambassador for the redemption.

2. The identification document will be scanned using a secure Government application. This process will generate a personal Voucher code.

3. Staff from authorised booking partner will use the code to help the citizen book their preferred SRV-eligible product.

We encourage citizens to decide on the product(s) they want and their preferred booking dates/timeslots before visiting these counters.

Making it easier to book activities and tours

Apart from the 34 locations with onsite SRV booking counters, STB will also work with the People’s Association (PA) to organise special pop-up booths at other CCs and RC Centres, to make it easier for citizens to book activities and tours. Citizens will also be able to redeem their SRV using their original identification documents at these pop-up booths. Further details about the location and timing of these pop-up booths will be shared with residents once finalised.

Since March 2021, STB and PA have also been working together to organise SRV-eligible tours and activities. These are led by PA grassroot organisations, and include transportation to and from the CCs or RC Centres for added convenience. To date, 12 tours have been organised for over 500 participants, most of whom are seniors.

As of 1 August 2021, over a million adult Singapore citizens have used their SRV at least once, making over 1.4 million transactions that amounted to over $168 million in Vouchers and cash payments on tourism bookings.

Citizens are encouraged to go online to book their SRV experiences if they have not already done so, and to support friends and family members who may require more assistance.
