Haw Par Villa To Partially Close Temporarily For Maintenance Works
18 November 2025
SINGAPORE, 18 November 2025 - Haw Par Villa will undergo essential maintenance and repair works from 8 December 2025, with the park partially closed until further notice. During this period, Hell’s Museum, featuring the iconic Ten Courts of Hell, will remain open to visitors.
These maintenance works will ensure public safety whilst preserving the unique cultural and artistic elements that remain an important part of Singapore's heritage. The timing coincides with the conclusion of Journeys Pte Ltd's current operating contract which began in 2015 and will end on 7 December 2025.
As part of continuous efforts to ensure tourism offerings appeal to the evolving needs of locals and international visitors, STB is engaging key stakeholders to review the future plans for Haw Par Villa. STB remains committed to preserving Singapore's cultural heritage and exploring future development opportunities that align with tourism objectives.
Visitors can continue to experience Hell's Museum, managed by Haw Par Villa Pte Ltd, an associate company of Journeys Pte Ltd, during the maintenance period. Further updates on the park's development will be shared in due course. For more information on Hell’s Museum, please refer to https://www.hawparvilla.sg/hells-museum/.
