At the Tourism Industry Conference on 8 May 2026, the Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, Grace Fu, announced that we have identified the Straits View area, near Marina Bay as the potential location for the Downtown MICE Hub (DMH).​

The DMH is envisioned as an integrated development where delegates could seamlessly experience world-class MICE facilities, accommodation, dining and retail, entertainment and attractions. This development would allow Singapore to host large events and grow MICE capacity in the city centre, to meet STB’s ambition to triple MICE tourism receipts by 2040.​

STB intends to launch a Request for Proposal (RFP) in 2027 to appoint a master developer and MICE operator; developers will be required to partner MICE players to jointly submit tender bids.​

Request for Information from developers for the Downtown MICE Hub​

Prior to the RFP, STB is launching a Request for Information (RFI) exercise to gather feedback from developers on key project parameters.

We invite interested developers, to consult MICE venue operators and other MICE companies, to complete the feedback form in the RFI. To register, please complete the form at Form SG by 30 June 2026, 17:30hrs. Further instructions and a non-disclosure agreement will be sent to your email post registration. The RFI will close on 20 July 2026, 23:59hrs.
