Tourism 2040: Setting the Stage for Long-Term Growth

Building on Singapore Tourism Board (STB)’s Quality Tourism approach, Tourism 2040 focuses on sustainable development whilst addressing global competition and evolving traveller preferences, creating meaningful opportunities for Singaporeans. This roadmap aims to drive tourism growth amid rising global competition, shifting demographics and increasing resource constraints.

By 2040, STB projects Tourism Receipts to reach between $47 and $50 billion. Our vision for Singapore by 2040 is to become:

• A world-class destination with diverse, unique and inspiring experiences

• A vibrant and endearing home that Singaporeans and residents proudly advocate for

• A global hub of innovative and productive tourism enterprises, where companies and talents co-create sustainable tourism growth
