About KF
Aimed at adding to the existing quality tourism software and enhancing the vibrancy of Singapore as a tourist destination, the Kickstart Fund (KF) supports creation and test-bedding of innovative consumer- or business-focused events/ concepts/products (including new growth areas) with tourism potential in Singapore and scalability.
Am I eligible?
✓ Open to all legal entities, e.g.:
Businesses
Associations
Government bodies
✓ Projects must be events/concepts/products (including pop-ups) for example: Multi-disciplinary/ hybrid/ virtual events which can cut across multiple lifestyle and/or business sectors, including B2B2C events and B2B events.
✗ Projects must not have commenced at the point of grant application. Projects are considered to have commenced if any of the following took place before application date:
Applicant has started work on the project, e.g., tender has been called
Applicant has made payment(s) to any supplier, vendor, or third party
Applicant has signed a contractual agreement with any supplier, vendor, or third party
Note:
Eligibility of the project is subject to STB’s assessment.
Foreign entities are encouraged to partner with local entities in the form of a Joint Venture or a consortium.
How will my project be evaluated?
The project scope will be assessed based on its merits to achieve the following:
Increased footfall
Increased foreign visitorship
Unique editorial coverage of the project
What costs can be supported?
Grantees may receive funding support of up to S$1 million per project. For pilot events or concepts, support may cover multiple editions, capped at up to 4 editions over a maximum period of 4 years:
Professional services (including audit and survey)
Production (including equipment and materials)
Marketing
Qualifying costs need to be:
Incurred by (i.e., receipt of goods and services);
Invoiced to; and
Paid for
by grantee within the qualifying period to qualify for disbursement.
Note: Funding support is awarded based on STB’s evaluation of the scope and merits of the project.
How do I apply?

Use the Chatbot to identify the right fund for your project and check your project’s eligibility. | Prepare an executive summary (e.g. project objectives, description, schedule, and costing) of your project. | An STB officer will be in touch to advise on the eligibility of your project to proceed with the application process. Submit a formal application form thereafter. |
What is the estimated processing time for a grant application?
Up to 90 days upon receipt of the completed and signed application form and supporting documents, if any.
Note: Timelines may vary depending on the complexity of the project.
How will the grant be disbursed?
Grants will be disbursed to grantees on a reimbursement basis, subject to verification of qualifying costs and achievement of the agreed project deliverables and milestones.
Grantee is required to submit an Agreed-Upon Procedures (AUP) Report by Practitioner on qualifying costs and supporting documents to prove achievement of deliverables for the disbursement of grants, unless otherwise stated.
