About Singapore Collectibles Programme

A joint initiative by STB, Enterprise Singapore, and DesignSingapore Council, the Singapore Collectibles Programme supports businesses in developing and enhancing products into premium souvenirs with a distinctive Singapore character, driving tourist spend and expanding opportunities for local brands.

As tourists increasingly seek authentic, quality local products, the Programme addresses the opportunity for businesses to introduce sought-after retail products that can boost tourism receipts, such as packaged food, wellness products, and souvenir gifts.

Am I eligible?

The Singapore Collectibles Programme will provide support for businesses looking to create new retail products with tourism appeal, or enhance packaging for existing merchandise to elevate its value proposition.

✓ Business entities registered and operating in Singapore, with at least one physical retail distribution channel.

✓ Company has at least 30% local equity held directly or indirectly by Singaporean(s) and/or Singapore PR(s), determined by the ultimate individual ownership.

✓ Company must be financially ready to start and complete the project. Commonly used financial indicators, such as the current ratio and net equity position, will be used for assessment.

How will my project be supported?

The Programme will support the entire product enhancement life cycle from its design to market introduction, or specific phases:

  1. Product and Packaging Design: DesignSingapore Council can facilitate connections with local design consultancies to develop or enhance products into premium souvenirs.

  2. Market Validation and Prototyping: Enterprise Singapore can support market and product viability assessments, including commercialisation planning and prototype development to ensure market readiness.

  3. Market Launch: STB can provide support for the initial production run and corresponding marketing initiatives to successfully launch the enhanced premium souvenir and build market awareness.

Please note that design facilitation, market validation and prototyping are not mandatory. Companies with quality in-house design capabilities and ready-to-market product ideas may also submit proposals.

How do I apply?

Companies will need to complete the attached project template (in the factsheet) and submit to the Singapore Collectibles team for evaluation. The Singapore Collectibles team will advise on project eligibility before proceeding with the next stage of the application process.
