Session 1 (Debate): The Ultimate Metropolis for the Modern Traveller: New York vs Singapore vs Tokyo.
As the world emerges from an extended period of hibernation, which of the most amazing cities in the world should the modern traveller journey to first? Our speakers will argue passionately for their chosen metropolis across a broad range of categories such as sustainability, design and architecture, cuisine and cultural experiences.
Session 2 (Panel Discussion): Walking the Walk: How to Go Beyond Sustainable Storytelling. This session brought together a wide range of stakeholders such as sustainability advocates, developers, travel and tourism experts to discuss how businesses should embark on their sustainability journey, as well as the innovations or partnerships that can be undertaken in this area.

Juliet Kinsman, Sustainability Editor at Condé Nast Traveller
Juliet has spent two and a half decades as a journalist and broadcaster celebrating the world’s most special places, spotlighting stories of sustainability from luxury travel. The founder of Bouteco, her consultancy promotes and supports boutique, eco hotels having a positive impact on their communities and nature. Her handbook The Green Edit: Travel, (Easy Tips for the Eco-Friendly Traveller) came out in 2020 and later this year Rizzoli will publish her coffeetable guide to the most eco escapes in the world.

Josh has been at The Times for more than 9 years. He spent 5 years reporting from America for The Sunday Times, first as their New York correspondent and then Washington correspondent before returning to the UK earlier this year.
Sarah Martin, Chief Executive Officer, Martin Consultancy and Event Specialists.
Sarah spent a decade establishing the WOMAD festival in Asia, before joining the Singapore Grand Prix (F1) as their Director of Operations. She was also previously Chief Executive Officer of Arts House Limited, overseeing multiple key art venues and art programmes in Singapore.
Simon Richmond, Travel Writer, Photographer & Artist.
Simon is a frequent traveller to Japan and was commissioned to co-author the first editions of The Rough Guide to Japan and The Rough Guide to Tokyo. He also contributes to other guides such as Insight Guides, DK Eyewitness and Lonely Planet.

Kavita-Prakash Mani, CEO of Mandai Nature.
Mandai Nature is a conservation non-profit organisation based in Singapore and working in Southeast Asia. Established by Temasek and Mandai Park Holdings, it aims to advance efforts for nature conservation and to catalyse conservation impact. Most recently, Kavita was also the Global Conservation Director at WWF and led their global practice on Markets and established their Food Practice.
Jane Madden, Global Managing Partner of Sustainability and Social Impact at Finn Partners.
Jane brings over 25 years of experience in ESG policy, performance and communications to Finn Partners, a global independent marcomm agency. She has been a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 companies across a variety of global industries on areas such as ESG performance and reporting, and has had extensive sustainable development expertise from working in more than 30 countries.
Bjorn Low, Executive Director and Co-founder of Edible Garden City.
Bjorn is an Ashoka fellow, a young leader of the World Cities Summit and co-founder of Edible Garden City, an urban farming social enterprise. His practice and research focuses on identifying the value that urban agriculture brings to the communities of highly dense and food import dependent cities such as Singapore.
