Over the years, Singapore has developed a vibrant arts & entertainment ecosystem.
To help drive regional demand and diversify Singapore’s appeal as a vibrant cultural capital, STB is constantly enhancing the quality and diversity of arts & entertainment options.
This is done in partnership with a variety of stakeholders, ranging from art galleries, auction houses and museums to live entertainment promoters and nightspot owners.
Arts
Home to world-class museums, international galleries and a dynamic creative scene, Singapore's Arts ecosystem is constantly evolving. In recent years, the visual art industry has enjoyed exponential growth. The Singapore Art Week, which includes Southeast Asia's leading fair Art SG, has grown from strength to strength over the years with a myriad art, creative, and lifestyle events. In 2015, the Asian Civilisations Museum and National Museum Singapore underwent revamps, and the National Gallery Singapore, which boasts the world's largest public display of modern Southeast Asian art, opened its doors.
In 2016, Singapore's arts scene continued to scale new heights with the return of premier international arts festivals, Singapore International Festival of Arts and the Singapore Biennale. The Singapore International Festival of the Arts inspires diverse audiences through great artistic experiences while the Singapore Biennale, a pre-eminent platform for international dialogue in contemporary art, seeks to push the region's art scene into brave new territories.
STB works with a diverse range of partners, from best-in-class businesses to emerging enterprises, catalysing business innovation and quality offerings in the Arts industry. Bolstered by an enterprising and maturing local arts community, Singapore continues to cement its reputation as one of Asia's holistic arts hubs.
Entertainment
Nightlife in Singapore has become vibrant and exciting in recent years, with a gamut of offerings ranging from world-class brands and award-winning home grown clubs to hidden gems of cocktail bars and live music pubs with local flavours. Blessed with one of the region's most diverse live music scene, Singapore also showcases both chart-topping A-list artistes and emerging indie talents. The performing arts scene has also been blossoming, with regular showings of local as well as international musicals, theatres, dance acts and many more.

STB offers industry assistance to stakeholders from the Arts & Entertainment industry to enhance their business competitiveness and growth.
