STB Greater China office is compiling a compendium of high-quality products and experiences in Singapore that are suitable for the higher yield individuals for sharing with travel trade in market. This is to support our drive for quality tourism.

These experiences should be catered to the premium and higher net worth crowd,

1) with a sense of exclusivity

2) high quality experience

3) high degree of service

4) cater to a Mandarin-speaking audience

It should not be for the mass traveller, provide a generic or bad experience, or only provide non-Mandarin services.

Ideal group sizes would be for up to 10 pax.

This compendium would enhance our Premium Travel Agents awareness of the high-quality offerings Singapore has to offer, which could influence their recommendation of Singapore over other premium destinations.

2. STB Europe is calling for interest from Singapore hotel industry stakeholders for an opportunity to work with trade partners on joint B2B and B2C campaigns. 

Background STB Europe works with a number of different trade partners (TOs, TAs, OTAs, Airlines & GDS) to promote destination Singapore to European travellers. 
Objectives
  • Joint B2B or B2C promotions to drive European visitors to Singapore 
  • To offer European travellers an incentive to stopover in Singapore

  • STB Europe will facilitate introductions and conversations between our trade partner and Singapore hotel stakeholders 
  • Interested Singapore stakeholders can provide attractive rates for a stopover product (so a 48hrs length of stay) to these partners

3. Join us for an opportunity to increase your product visibility on the Americas market [free to participate].

Background 

STB Americas works closely with the leisure travel trade in the United States and Canada to raise the awareness of Singapore as a destination for their clients. We are developing a self-familiarisation programme for the travel advisors to encourage them to have first-hand experience of Singapore and be able to recommend the destination to their clients. 

The self-familiarisation programme will offer advisors trade discounts at Singapore hotels, attractions, restaurants, tours, and airlines. This will serve as an incentive for the advisors to become familiar with Singapore and build their confidence in recommending and booking the products they experienced for their clients. Together, we are increasing awareness and potential bookings for Singapore.  

We invite all interested stakeholders to participate in this special promotion to the North American advisors.

How does it work:

  • To participate, we ask you to provide a discount/deal for your product for the self-fam to encourage the travel advisors to sample your product. 
  • You decide the requirements, e.g. the preferential rate/deal for your product, black-out dates and any other restrictions as needed. A suggestion is to allow for ‘X’ number bookings per day/week/month, etc. Existing trade offers are welcome. 

  • The offer should be made available from September 2024 – December 2025. Possibility to amend the offer during the promotional period.  

  • The advisors will book directly with the supplier and will be required to provide their company information along with IATA or a preferred identification by the supplier. 

  • Examples of offers and how they can look like (determined by you): 

    1. Hotels: XX% off on 3 hotel nights, 3 nights for the price of 1, upgrade when available, etc.  
    2. Airlines: Special rate for airline travel, e.g. 75% off qualified fare, etc. 
    3. Tour / Experience: 2 people for the price of 1, XX% discount per person. 
    4. Attractions: 2 people for the price of 1, XX% discounted entrance fee. 
    5. Restaurants: Special menu at prix fix price, welcome drink, or XX% of a lunch/dinner

5. STB Europe is calling for interest from Singapore hotel industry stakeholders for an opportunity to work with Amadeus GDS. 

Background STB Europe has established a partnership with Amadeus - the GDS platform - to promote destination Singapore to European travellers.  
 
Objectives
  • Joint B2B promotion to drive European visitors to Singapore through the travel agent networks on GDS platform
  • To offer European travellers an incentive to stopover in Singapore
Details
  • STB Europe will facilitate introductions and conversations between Amadeus and Singapore hotel stakeholders 
  • Interested Singapore stakeholders can provide attractive rates for a stopover product (so 24 hrs – 48hrs length of stay) to travel agents through Amadeus  
  • STB will be promoting the destination via banner ad placements within the GDS with a call-to-action to click through to a landing page where Amadeus will host the hotel product deals
