Singapore, 13 September 2018 – Since the launch of the Hotel Transformation Map (ITM) in 2016, the Singapore Tourism Board has been supporting the industry to pursue innovation initiatives to build a sustainable hotel industry in Singapore. This year was no different from the last 2 years. It was an exciting year with several first-of-its kind initiatives launched to pursue innovation with technology and in guest experiences, as well as to help the industry attract, develop and retain talents. One of the notable initiatives was the launch of two new resources to help the hotel industry identify and explore next-generation system capabilities and solutions suited to each hotel’s unique needs. The Smart Hotel Technology Guide 2018 outlines the vision of a smart hotel and identifies relevant technologies for hotels to realise this vision with a focus on front-of-house operations. To facilitate link ups between hotels and technology vendors, the Hotel Technology Directory provides a one-stop portal to source for technological solutions from local and international vendors.
